DESCRIPTION:

As part of Microelectronics engineering group, which is a sub-group of Mission Systems, we develop and build communication and aviation electronic solutions. Our team is looking for a motivated, disciplined, experienced SW system architect principal engineer. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing the Fab data management and process control systems. In addition, the candidate is expected to lead and collaborate with other stakeholders (Value Stream Leaders, operations personnel, product engineers, SW engineers) in the evaluation, the execution, and the implementation of the system.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
- Ability to implement and test desktop and web applications
- Exposure to software engineering tools, including version control and debuggers
- Proficient with SQL, Python, and databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ability to write user friendly macros to pull data for analysis.
- Experience with standard full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
- Experience in working closely with microelectronic fabrication environment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of data analytics or statistics
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, preferably in the Collins processes (DPT-C, ISAT, SAP)
- Experience working across divisions including R&D, product IPT, test equipment, and operations
