About the Role:   Our Principal Software Engineer is a senior technical role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software and integrations that drive Century Mold’s business operations. This position is not a people-management role but instead emphasizes hands-on engineering excellence, system architecture, and problem-solving.   The Principal Software Engineer works closely with IT leadership across Cybersecurity, Data, and IT Operations, and partners with senior and departmental leaders across all segments of the enterprise. This role also includes coordination with vendors to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.   In summary, the Principal Software Engineer is a trusted expert and technical leader, playing a critical role in advancing Century Mold’s IT capabilities and supporting the Company’s growth and compliance objectives.   What You’ll Be Doing: * Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications and system integrations that support Century Mold’s operations. * Write high-quality, maintainable code and apply best practices in software engineering, including testing, release management, and production support. * Collaborate with IT leadership in Cybersecurity, Data, and IT Operations to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. * Partner with senior and departmental leadership across Operations, Accounting, Quality, and other business functions to translate business requirements into technical solutions. * Coordinate with vendors and external partners to evaluate, implement, and support enterprise software tools and platforms. * Support compliance objectives (CMMC, ISO 27001) by embedding security, auditability, and governance into software design and lifecycle practices. * Apply ITIL-based processes for change management, release control, and incident/problem resolution within the software lifecycle. * Provide subject matter expertise to IT projects, ensuring system architecture and application designs align with enterprise strategy. * Assist in daily IT activities by supporting Operations, Cybersecurity, and Network teams — including resolving escalated helpdesk issues, assisting in cyber event forensics, and administering user licensing and account management. * Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability of enterprise systems.
