Job Title: Principal Software Engineer - .NET Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore Business & Team: CTO- Cloud Modernisation Impact &contribution: As an experienced Principal Engineer who act as thought & technology leader, responsible for providing technical strategy and guidance, overseeing engineering projects of all kinds includes AWS, Cloud Adoption, end to end application design and understanding at enterprise level and good in domain understanding with exposure to Gen AI platform engineering and a passion for providing AI-driven solutions. Roles & responsibilities: Act as a thought leader and technology evangelist for .NET based cloud modernisation initiatives. Leader amongst engineers with respected technical views. Lead and direct multiple teams on complex troubleshooting activity. Play a mentoring role in providing design and technical assistance to other members of the team. Utilises an outstanding competency in core business and technical strategies across platforms to deliver best business outcomes. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Drive automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline delivery pipelines. Stay current with emerging technologies in .NET, cloud, and AI, and evaluate their applicability to our ecosystem. Ability to develop, suggest best practices of designing infrastructures that support fine-tuning of models to improve performance and efficiency, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during development or deployment. Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for design, enhancement and development, and play an active part in their execution. Have a great understanding of software delivery practices and lifecycles in Agile methodologies Essential skills: 16+ years of experience in relevant filed. Demonstrate strong experience developing applications using MS technologies - C# and .NET /. NetCore GEN AI application building experience preferred Experience in cloud technologies like AWS / Azure is a must. Demonstrate strong experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell / Shell / Python Lead design discussions in developing robust systems Experience with Infrastructure as code and automating manual tasks Mentoring and coaching capabilities, able to influence practices and mindsets in the crew Experience using CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy Have a good understanding of best practices around logging & monitoring tools: CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus knowledge are desirable Have a fair understanding of networking, preferably on Cloud Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
