The Logistics Engineering Team develops Zalando’s own Warehouse Management System that ensures on-time delivery of millions of parcels every week from more than 12 facilities.
As a Principal Software Engineer in Logistics Engineering, you will be responsible for defining and designing the target architecture of our Warehouse Management System in alignment with Product, Management, and the delivery teams. You will support the teams with experience and best practices to find the best solutions, review and challenge solution proposals, and make sure that our products remain extensible in the future. By proactively establishing best practices and patterns along the Software Development Lifecycle you make sure that teams deliver high quality and architecturally consistent software. As a mentor, you support individuals in their career growth and as a role model, you will foster collaboration across teams and departments.You will benefit from the experience in a larger company with specialists organized in technical communities.
You’ll be working alongside a group of talented engineers to create innovative solutions for managing orders, products, physical entities as well as processes & tools for workflow management & optimization of the workflow within our warehouses.
