Description
Design and develop system software that manages storage services in Azure. Ensure that services and components are designed with appropriate telemetry and health signals to enable remote monitoring and debugging. Rapidly deploy cloud-scale solutions and monitor health through telemetry. Drive for quality in everything you do and continuously improve the quality of the systems you work on. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate. Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust or Python. OR equivalent experience. 2+ year of experience in Kernel and Driver Development on Windows/Linux. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust, or Python. OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust, or Python. OR equivalent experience 2+ year(s) of experience with storage interfaces and protocols, including NVMe and SCSI, as well as virtualization technologies. 2+ year(s) of experience in kernel-mode development and debugging, with a focus on Windows or Linux driver environments. 1+ year(s) of experience working with Azure or equivalent cloud services, such as Data Explorer, Azure Portal, Disks, Storage, and Virtual Machines, including shipping and maintaining high-reliability cloud storage services.
