Department Overview Global Markets Technology builds and maintains software solutions used by Global Markets Front and Middle office businesses. The business is spread across EMEA, US, Japan, AEJ, and emerging Markets like India, Brazil, and China. It deals in wide range of products including FX, Rates, Credit, Securitized Products, Equities, Futures & Options, FI/EQ Derivatives, and Prime Services including financing. Front Office Risk and PnL is a business-critical area that calculates Intraday and End of Day Risk and P&L for all the Fixed Income and Currency desks. These are then distributed to various critical downstream functions like Risk and Finance via a big data platform, as well as viewed by trading desks globally. There is an ongoing program of work to keep the platforms up to date with new requirements, as well as a long-term strategic re-architecture program to modernize the technology stack, support additional businesses and ensure capacity for increased trading volumes. There are multiple open roles across intraday risk, end-of-day data warehouse and market generation. Position Specifications: Corporate Title Associate Functional Title Sr. Developer / Lead Developer Experience 4-8 years Qualification Requisition No. Role & Responsibilities Development and Maintenance of the platform. Understand business requirements and responsible for designing solution, implementation, testing. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders globally for requirement analysis, solution/approach, testing, status updates etc. Propose and implement strategic/tactical solutions for business and technical problems. Deliver high quality change within timelines. Perform unit testing. Support SIT, UAT and Regression testing. Collaborate across a global technology team as well as across functions to implement practical solutions and run or contribute to tactical and strategic programmes. Understand and follow organizational, team level processes and best practices. Provide L3 support to the business for both system and business problems. Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related technical/quantitative field 4+ years of experience in working with Java (8 and above). Experience in Java frameworks (Spring, Spring boot) Experience with Caching solutions (Gemfire, Redis) Experience with Middleware solutions (Solace, Kafka, Pulsar) Experience of Java testing frameworks (Junit) and Mocking frameworks. Familiarity with development lifecycle tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Ansible) Good knowledge of object-oriented programming principles Work effectively in a global team, supporting and advising as required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Demonstrate strong personal initiative. High level of attention to detail, a positive hands-on attitude, and a strong focus on producing work of the highest standard are essential. Good analytical skills and strong in problem solving. Desirable Skills 3+ years of experience in working with React JS Knowledge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets domain Experience on Front Office Risk and P&L platforms.
