Role: Principal Solution Architect

At Patagonia, we’re in business to save our home planet—and technology is central to that mission. As the Principal Solution Architect, you’ll lead the design of scalable, sustainable tech solutions that power our omnichannel customer experience across retail, wholesale, ecommerce, and more.
You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to turn complex challenges into elegant, omnichannel solutions. From rapid prototyping to architecture diagrams, from strategic roadmaps to hands on deep dives, you’ll own the full lifecycle of solution design—driving impact, not just implementation.

EXPERIENCE YOU BRING:

• 10+ years in technology with deep experience in solution architecture
• Proven success in and deep understanding of current and emerging omnichannel retail or other DTC and B2B SaaS, enterprise systems, integrations, and innovation including emerging AI solutions
• Experience influencing and driving outcomes across geographies, levels, and functions
• Balance of strategic mindset and iterative hands-on approach working with a lean team
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bonus: Microsoft certifications, familiarity with agile / DevOps practices, experience with enterprise architecture practices and frameworks, understanding of microservice and API architecture and design patterns, experience with relevant programming languages like JS and C#
  Hiring range: $180,000 - $200,000
  At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget. Note the full pay range for this role ranges from: $152,000 - $228,000 USD Annual. The Hiring Range reflects where in the range we intend to hire for this role.

• Architect and deliver omnichannel technology solutions aligned with Patagonia’s purpose.
