QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Prior experience with federal or state government contracts
  • Prior experience maintaining Program Financial Controls such as; Earned Value Management Systems, budgeting, scheduling, and performance monitoring applications.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Experience in leading new business development and/or capture activities, and/or winning new business.
  • Background in aviation; specifically, knowledge of, UTM / AAM technologies and markets, Air Traffic Control operations, and the National Airspace Systems (NAS)
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed function environment that required teaming / developing partnerships with stakeholders all levels of the organization Led and directed team efforts resolving complex programmatic issues.
  • Experience with DevOps / Agile
  • Experience and knowledge of funding cycles and financial processes at the state and federal level
  • Creative, out of the box thinker to solve technology and funding challenges
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) credential from Program Management Institute (PMI)
  • Master’s Degree OR MBA and minimum 3 years relevant experience

The Future Air Traffic Systems (F-ATS) product area within the Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) product line is seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM). You will be responsible for collaboration and execution of programs with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and creating new business opportunities across the business portfolio. At Collins, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world – and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create and nurture strong customer relationships - anticipating and fulfilling customer needs - to instill a positive view of Collins Aerospace capability, credibility, and exportability with new customers, partners, or suppliers as well as manage related capture and proposal management activities.
  • Direct the alignment of the program team with business priorities; ensures compliance with contractual and financial requirements; models and oversees professional standards of conduct; and promotes a One Company perspective.
  • Work closely with the F-ATS product area Lead and other functional counterparts in Collins Aerospace’s matrix environment, including internal customers.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight for the financial, schedule and technical performance of assigned program(s); act as the primary customer contact on program actions, milestones, status and performance, as well as with suppliers/subcontractors and business leaders.
  • Travel up to 50% domestic travel such as west coast travel

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

  • Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role
