Role description: You will join our Structural Engineering team in Arcadis Iasi office, part of the Mobility GBA, where our projects and development opportunities can fit various ambitions from engineering, 3D modeling and parametric design to Operate & Maintain digital methods. The delivery is secured through global collaboration platforms like BIM360, which allows engineers across various offices to work together seamlessly while maintaining clear visibility for our clients. Your role will include, but is not limited to: Liaising with the Line Manager to keep informed of all developments associated with the project; Maintaining a good understanding of the background of the Regional Arcadis business to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry; Building and maintaining effective relationships with partners on projects; Performing calculations, analysis and providing recommendations and conclusions; Providing technical advice to project team members; Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you have responsibility, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies; Communicating regularly with the BIM Manager, providing project status reports and coordinating clash detection and resolution activities Reviewing and ensuring compliance of the components within your responsibility, including drawings and BIM model requirements; Can work independently or with a group of people Preparation of General arrangement and Reinforcement drawings Computation of quantities Preparation of design reports Providing direction to the project team, leading by example to achieve goals and championing a quality, innovative, client-focused culture Providing technical expertise and overview to client and stakeholders, and assisting clients through technical decision-making and provide alternatives options/solutions if there are changes to project objectives Qualifications: Relevant Structural engineering degree Analytical mindset and self-learning attitude Knowledge of construction phasing and sequencing for complex projects; Design of steel, concrete, PSC and composite structures Has a proven track record in designing specialised structural elements such as bridge decks, abutments, piles or concrete massifs (solid) elements like retaining walls, locks or dams Experienced in reinforced concrete structural calculations Good structural mechanics knowledge Experienced and competent in finite element analysis and application Ability and interest in learning and development of new technologies and automation processes Competent in the use of routine engineering software and/or spreadsheets for foundation, retaining structures, and special structures Proficient in detailing software in reinforced concrete Skilled and experienced in projects developed within a BIM environment. Good English technical language skills. Nice to have: Geotechnical knowledge can be considered a plus Piled foundations design and special foundation experience Hydrotechnical Structural design experience may be considered an advantage Fatigue design of various structural elements DIANA FEA, SCIA Engineering or other 3D FEM software experience Netherlands Local Norms and Annexes experience Experience and interest in scripting and automation tools Ability to guide and check work for junior staff Multilingual proficiency in languages like Dutch and German Key attributes: Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
