QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or engineering discipline in a factory environment
  • Project or program team management experience
  • Working in a matrixed or cross-functional team environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Current DoD clearance
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Failure investigation and resolution
  • Requirements reviews with translation to buyers
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings. Understanding of GD&T.
  • 3D solid modeling software experience (e.g. SolidWorks, CREO)
  • Engagement review of new or existing suppliers – capabilities, processes

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Communicate and translate technical data packages to suppliers
  • Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
  • Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
  • Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
  • Manage product non-conformances
  • Drive root cause and corrective action
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
  • Support travel as needed (approx. 25-30%)
