Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
Supply Chain Operations Management (SCOM) organization within CSCP manages manufacturing operations and fulfilment with the external supply chain partners. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management strategies ensure predictable on-time performance, optimized for cost, prevents urgent unplanned investments and provides accurate, timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of Principal Supply Chain Program Manager will be responsible for driving cross-functional projects and business initiatives for Supply Chain Operations Team (SCOM) and Cloud Manufacturing and Fulfilment (CMOF). In this role, you will be reporting to the General Manager of Cloud Supply Chain Operations. You will lead and be responsible for defining Strategy, Transformation Programs and Business Initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 6+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
  • OR Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4 + years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
  • OR equivalent experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical degree, MBA Preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ consulting and/or information technologies in a supply chain supporting hardware or software a plus
  • Experience in project or program management with a track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processes
  • Experience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams for supply chain operations
  • Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with key stakeholders ex: Finance, Operations, Planning and Sourcing functions
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes
  • Analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment
  • Customer driven and attention to detail
  • Established capabilities in operating in a growing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Distinctive problem-solving leadership and analytical thinking for continuous improvement

    Supply Planning IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the muti-year strategic vision and roadmap
  • Lead transformation for plans providing thought leadership
  • Translate the strategic plan into the various workstreams defining objectives key results (OKR), timeline and owners
  • Lead and orchestrate planning and fiscal year priorities process in partnership with the leadership team
  • Build and manages key relationships needed for SCOM
  • Drive collaboration and alignment on plans; cross-functional relationships
  • Continuously improve and oversees the implementation strategy for the use of automation and scaling of systems
  • Provide oversight for and a vision for metrics used in dashboards for visualizing and presenting supply-chain analysis and metrics
  • Collect, synthesis, and communicate analytics and insights to drive strategies and decision making for executives
  • Drive the execution of the rhythm of business (ROB) including business reviews, planning processes, resource management, budget forecasting, staff meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business run smoothly and effectively
