Description
Drive Strategy & Execution: Define and deliver the roadmap for quantum developer tools, including QDK, language integrations, simulators, and cloud workflows. Technical Leadership: Partner with engineering teams to design solutions for complex technical challenges such as compiler optimizations, hybrid workflows, and integration with Visual Studio Code and GitHub Copilot. Program Management Excellence: Manage large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning software engineering, research, and product strategy. Ensure clarity, alignment, and timely delivery across multiple stakeholders. Customer & Developer Advocacy: Engage with quantum developers, researchers, and ecosystem partners to gather feedback, identify pain points, and translate insights into actionable improvements. Innovation & Quality: Champion best practices for security, compliance, and performance in developer tools. Drive continuous improvement in usability, reliability, and scalability. Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency (e.g., performance modeling and analysis, research gathering, day to day task automation). 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages (C#, Python, or Q#), cloud services, and distributed systems. Understanding of quantum computing concepts is a plus. Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex programs, influence without authority, and communicate effectively with technical and executive audiences. 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). Knowledge of quantum computing frameworks (QDK, Qiskit, Cirq) and hybrid cloud architectures. Experience with compiler technologies, SDK development, or developer productivity tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action. Apply AI to accelerate engineering and lab workflows. Design and build AI agents/copilots that assist with experiment setup, log triage, measurement report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval (e.g., instrument manuals, design docs).
