We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help lead the technical direction of our platform. In this role, you’ll influence architecture, ensure code quality and security, and guide engineering best practices across a fast-paced, data-rich environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in complex systems, collaborates well across teams, and stays current with modern technologies, including AI and machine learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, including recent leadership or principal-level responsibilities
• Strong understanding of system architecture, design patterns, scalability, and data modeling
• Deep experience in secure application development and compliance-minded engineering
• Full-stack development experience with proficiency in modern frameworks and tools
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, version control, and automated testing
• Experience working in complex, high-volume data environments
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and ability to integrate or support related systems
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
• Experience working with or integrating payment platforms is a strong plus

• Own system architecture decisions and ensure alignment across teams and technologies
• Oversee code quality through peer review, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive implementation of secure coding practices and ensure systems meet high security and compliance standards
• Guide integration and deployment pipelines, CI/CD strategies, and testing frameworks
• Work across the stack and advise on frameworks, languages, infrastructure, and tooling
• Lead technical evaluations and management of external vendors or partners
• Collaborate with product, dev, and leadership teams to align engineering work with business goals
• Stay on top of emerging technologies, especially in the areas of AI, machine learning, and data systems
• Set the standard for technical excellence and lead by example in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
