Description Job Summary: Under the direction of the Secondary Production Supervisor, this position performs skilled work in the preparation and operation of pad printing machines in a printing department. Work may include manual labor such as printing, packing, sorting, cutting, or oiling parts. Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities: Prepares job by assembling jigs, obtaining blueprints, set-up sheets, printing plate and ink for operation of printer, and assembling boxes for packing Loads parts onto turntable jigs for printing Examines finished product for quality Completes paperwork by recording job time and parts completed Packages materials for shipping Transports products to shipping area manually or by means of a pallet jack Responsible for cleaning up machine and work area, or as assigned Requirements Minimum Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced production area Ability to work efficiently on the various punch and print machines Ability to meet required production averages on job Ability to read a blueprint and fill out production paperwork Ability to speak, read, write and understand English Skills and Abilities Required: Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Must be able to work effectively in a shared work environment as a member of a team workforce Must be able to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull and climb continuously as needed Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremes Occasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes (protective equipment available) Noise level is usually moderate (hearing protection available)
