POSITION SUMMARY:

The Print Shop Assistant plays a key role in the production and fulfillment process of our digital printing company. This position requires hands-on operation of digital printing equipment and finishing tools, combined with strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Excel for file setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. The Print Shop Assistant will also assist with packaging and shipping finished products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery to customers. Typical work days are Mon - Fri. 8am - 4:30pm

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Mathematics (required) with experience preparing files for print.
· Experience operating digital printers and finishing equipment (paper cutters, shrink wrappers, etc.).
· Understanding of print production processes, color management, and file formats.
· Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
· Experience with packing and shipping processes.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 lbs., use a step ladder and lift items over your head.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain new digital printers to produce high-quality print materials.
· Perform finishing tasks using paper cutters, shrink wrappers, and related equipment.
· Utilize Adobe InDesign to set up, adjust, and prepare customer artwork for print production.
· Review and proof digital files to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and print-readiness.
· Monitor print runs for quality control and adjusting as needed.
· Package and prepare products for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
· Assist with shipping logistics, including coordinating carriers, printing labels, and tracking orders.
· Maintain inventory of paper, ink, and packaging materials.
· Follow safety and maintenance procedures to keep equipment and work areas in proper condition.
· Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain high customer satisfaction.
