SALARY:  $42,129.00 Annually OPENING DATE:  1/12/2026 CLOSING DATE:  2/3/2026 11:59 p.m. UNIT:  AFSCME-Grade Level 5 DEPARTMENT:  Printing & Communications Support REPORTS TO:  Manager, Printing & Communications Support PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operates departmental equipment such as electronic digital color presses, high speed digital copies, collators, folders, binders, power drills, cutters, etc. 2. Creates design and layout of a job using the appropriate software. 3. Copies, prints, and distributes printed materials including exams, booklets, pamphlets, etc. 4. Uses Colleague to print locally or directs job to another printer on campus. 5. Creates and maintains detailed records and reports for billing, daily usage and service calls. 6. Provides assistance to department users regarding preparation of materials for copying and finishing.    7. Performs light maintenance on equipment as necessary. 8. Orders and maintains ample supplies. 9. Assists in College mail distributions, including the wrapping of finished materials, as well as the sorting, delivery (by foot and van), pickup, and post marking first-class and interoffice mail.  10. Assists with lifting of boxes and bindery functions. 11. Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate to the position.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Two (2) years of experience in a high-volume print facility with concentration in digital multi-color work format * Ability to operate high speed copiers and digital color presses * Knowledge of graphic design and layout as it pertains to digital print operations * Ability to work independently with great attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Valid driver’s license with no restrictions   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Skilled with print production and layout designs  * Ability to format job specifics * Well versed in executing mail merges  * Ability to operate a C139e envelope press   SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: SCHEDULE:            40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. RETIREMENT:  Pension Eligible    Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
