OakLeaf Clinics – Business Office has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a full-time Prior Authorization Representative! OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley. Position Description  The Prior Authorization Representative will be responsible for and manage all aspects of the prior authorization process. Primarily obtaining insurance authorizations and verifying insurance benefits for patients that require authorizations for various medical procedures. This position is a Full-Time, hourly position located on site at our Business Office location in Eau Claire, WI. Responsibilities * Responsible for all aspects of the prior authorization process * Verify insurance benefits for patients that require authorizations for various medical procedures. * Initiate authorization requests with insurance companies and government payers to obtain necessary information * Request, track, follow up and secure prior authorizations prior to services being performed * Obtain necessary re-authorization for expiring authorizations * Contact referring physicians/departments for additional information as needed * Maintains an approachable and positive attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment * Execute special projects and other duties as assigned * Work a flexible schedule within the clinic or department hours based on clinical demand or need Education/Qualifications * Previous Prior Authorization experience in a clinic setting, preferred * Previous experience in a clinic setting, preferred * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills * Requires effective customer relation skills, ability to organize and interpret data * Multi-task quickly effectively in a fast-paced environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Effective communication (verbal and written) skills * Requires good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and ability to work effectively in a team environment Salary: Starting $20 per hour, commensurrate with experience Education: High School Job Type: Full Time Experience: Prior authorizations, clinical, outpatient Location: 2403 Folsom Street • Eau Claire, WI  54701
