• As a Backshift Prisoner Custody Officer, you will be part of a dedicated team of employees who react and respond to bookings from Prison establishments throughout Scotland. You will operate as a critical part of our security network for custodies who are receiving medical treatment in hospital and will be responsible for supervising them during their stay.
• You will manage personal property and be responsible for organising and supervising meals and drinks.
• Ensure a variety of different needs are met for prisoners in our custody whilst maintaining dignity and respect and ensuring the security and welfare of prisoners.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately, liaising with prison and police authorities ensuring documentation is completed and correct, carrying out risk assessments on vulnerable or at-risk prisoners.
• Ensure the security and well-being of prisoners during transport. The people in our care and custody will have a variety of different needs and it will be your role to ensure that they are met.
