Description TEKsystems end client is seeking a junior analyst to help safeguard personal and organizational data in a complex healthcare environment. You will work with an established team of Cyber Security professionals overseen by the Senior Director of Cyber Security and Risk. Your mission is to support privacy compliance, assess third party vendor risks, and assist with contract reviews and procurement activities that involve data protection, security requirements, and legal terms. This role is designed for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience, a healthcare background, and a related degree. Vendor, privacy, legal, procurement (buying) are the core emphases of this role. You will coordinate across Cyber Security, Privacy Office, Legal, and Procurement to ensure risks are understood, documented, and mitigated, and that contractual obligations are enforceable. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Support privacy compliance activities and documentation for systems, apps, and services used across the organization. • Perform third party vendor due diligence reviews on security and privacy controls. Maintain findings, action plans, and status tracking. • Collaborate with Legal and Procurement to review and improve contractual clauses for privacy, security, and risk. Provide input on RFPs, SOWs, and evaluation criteria. • Assist in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and security risk assessments for new solutions and integrations. • Contribute to incident response by documenting vendor obligations for breach notification and coordinating evidence needed for investigations. • Maintain a clear audit trail of decisions, approvals, and compliance artifacts for internal and external oversight. • Prepare concise briefings for leadership on vendor risk posture and contract gaps. Recommend prioritized mitigations. • Support education and enablement activities for stakeholders on privacy by design and vendor risk expectations. Skills Privacy Analyst, Health care, vendor management, contract management, legal Top Skills Details Privacy Analyst,Health care,vendor management,contract management,legal Additional Skills & Qualifications • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in privacy, security, vendor risk, contracts, or procurement within a healthcare setting. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Public Administration, Law, or Business. • Familiarity with healthcare workflows and clinical systems and the ability to translate technical and legal requirements into practical guidance. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex issues for decision making. • Detail orientation and strong organization skills for tracking tasks, deadlines, and document versions. • Collaborative mindset with experience working across Cyber Security, Privacy Office, Legal, Procurement, and clinical teams. • Comfort using productivity tools such as Excel and Word. Exposure to vendor risk platforms or GRC tools is an asset. Relevant Certifications (nice-to-have) • IAPP certifications such as CIPP/C or CIPM. • Canadian privacy credentials such as CIAPP-P. • Shared Assessments certifications such as CTPRA or CTPRP, ISO 27001 training, or CCSK. • CHIMA or health information credentials are considered an asset. Experience Level Entry Level Work Setting Must sit in NS. This is a hybrid position and you will be required on-site throughout the week. This is a contract position with the hope to flip this individual perm down the road. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Halifax, NS.
