We are seeking a new team member for the position of Privacy & Legal Counsel, EMEA. You will be based in Lynge, Denmark and will join a dynamic and motivated multicultural team of 25 lawyers on a global scale. You will report directly to the Head of Global Privacy.
As we continue to establish our future privacy function, you will have the opportunity to shape various processes and influence the structure of the privacy function as it evolves.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to the business on GDPR-related issues, including but not limited to: (a) advising marketing teams on legal matters concerning marketing, advertising, and tracking technologies; and (b) assessing and advising on privacy risks linked to new solutions, systems, and technologies, as well as regarding cross-border transfers of personal data. This includes drafting and reviewing consents, privacy notices, and similar documents.
  • Collaborate and engage with relevant stakeholders across EMEA to gather information and understand current business processes, including interactions with pertinent IT systems.
  • Assist the EMEA Privacy team in creating and implementing data privacy policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices for the EMEA region, including training initiatives.
  • Support data breach notifications, manage data incidents, investigate privacy-related complaints, conduct audits and assessments, and monitor and report on risks.
  • Aid business teams and other legal colleagues with legal and privacy concerns during contract drafting and negotiations with customers, business partners, and vendors. This encompasses software license agreements, data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, and support during M&A and divestments within EMEA.
  • Coordinate with WSA Privacy team members in APAC and LATAM on global privacy matters.
