Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring data privacy and protection across Compare the Market. We’re seeking a motivated and certified Data Privacy professional with extensive experience in financial services or a similar regulated sector. As a Data Privacy Manager you will support the management of the Data Privacy Framework and champion a culture of data management excellence.
This role can be based out of our Peterborough or London offices.

Responsibilities

Data Privacy Framework Management:

  • Ensure the Data Privacy Framework is up to date, reflecting relevant data policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Protection Office to stay ahead of upcoming regulatory changes.
  • Support the successful delivery of the Data Privacy Roadmap, taking the lead on projects and offering guidance.

Data Asset Management:

  • Manage the Data Asset Catalogue, ensuring it is comprehensive and has clear ownership.
  • Oversee Data Asset and Data Privacy reporting, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Data Privacy Standards and Procedures:

  • Establish and enforce data privacy standards and procedures, including data retention, record of processing activities, PII data maps, and significant processing activities.

Collaboration and Relationship Management:

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build strong relationships.
  • Support Data Governance Practice Leads and champion a data value culture.

Incident Response and Compliance:

  • Represent the team in Data Privacy-related incidents, providing expert advice aligned with policies and standard ways of working.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure a comprehensive control framework.

Technology Management:

  • Operate and manage the OneTrust system, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure a Data Protection by Design approach is taken, working with Data Enablement team.
