Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the development, review, and delivery of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and related privacy documentation for large and complex programs. Working closely with client stakeholders, program managers, legal advisors, IT security teams, and senior leadership, you’ll ensure that privacy risks are properly assessed, addressed, and documented in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing documents for approval.
  • Conduct preliminary consultations with program owners to gather background information, program objectives, and available data sources.
  • Identify privacy risks, analyze their impact, and propose practical mitigations.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders across business areas, IT, security, and legal to ensure a complete and accurate assessment.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and key milestones for privacy deliverables.
  • Deliver verbal presentations and written reports on PIA findings and recommendations.
  • Draft privacy policies, notices, protocols, and consent statements.
  • Liaise with oversight bodies, regulators, or advisory groups as needed to address feedback and finalize PIAs.
  • Stay current with privacy legislation, regulations, and best practices to inform recommendations.
  • Provide guidance, training, and briefings to stakeholders on privacy issues and evolving jurisprudence.
