REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in KYC/client onboarding within the private banking space.
  • Strong understanding of MAS regulatory requirements and international AML/CFT standards (e.g., FATF).
  • Experience with complex client structures and high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in tools and platforms used for screening and KYC (e.g., WorldCheck, LexisNexis, Actimize).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the KYC and client onboarding process for new private banking clients, including Event Review & Periodic Review.
  • Ensure adherence to MAS regulatory guidelines, internal compliance standards, and group policies.
  • Perform and review risk assessments, customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD) for complex client structures such as trusts, foundations, and offshore entities.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to resolve KYC-related queries or discrepancies.
  • Support periodic KYC refresh and remediation projects, as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior onboarding analysts and support staff.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on private banking onboarding policies and regulatory developments in Singapore and relevant jurisdictions.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and internal audits.
