JOB OVERVIEW

You will serve as the private chef for an executive with a demanding schedule and high standards for nutrition, quality, and presentation. Your specialty will be formal French or Italian cuisine with a focus on multiple smaller meals throughout the day rather than fewer large ones. All meal preparation must strictly follow guidance from the client’s nutritionist, emphasizing healthy, organic, and nutrient-dense foods.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a private chef cooking formal French and/or Italian cuisine
  • French fluency highly preferred to facilitate communication and menu design
  • Deep knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and ability to collaborate with nutrition professionals
  • Expertise in seafood preparation including sushi and other gourmet dishes
  • Strong sourcing skills for high-end organic products and fresh provisions
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to be at the residence early during weekdays
  • Flawless kitchen hygiene and inventory practices
  • Professionalism, discretion, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-expectation private household
  • Wine knowledge focusing on pairing for guests
  • Experience in event support and culinary team leadership
  • Flexibility and adaptability to an evolving schedule.

    Pay: $65,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Customized Meal Planning:

Develop daily menus consisting of five smaller, nutritionally balanced meals incorporating rich organic fruits, produce, a heavy emphasis on seafood including sushi, gourmet protein shakes, and smoothies.

  • Kitchen & Inventory Management:

Maintain an immaculate kitchen environment, manage food inventories and expiration tracking, and ensure proper storage conditions in line with food safety standards.

  • Event & Party Planning Support:

Collaborate with the executive’s personal assistant in planning and executing parties and special events, crafting menus, overseeing catering logistics, and managing kitchen staff.

  • Team Leadership:

Hire, train, and manage sous chefs and kitchen assistants as needed to ensure smooth culinary operations.

  • Collaboration:

Work alongside household staff to synchronize meal timing with daily schedules and home operations.

  • Nutritional Compliance:

Work closely with the executive’s nutritionist to ensure strict adherence to dietary guidelines and preferences.

  • Provisioning & Shopping:

Responsible for all food provisioning including sourcing fresh ingredients primarily from farmer’s markets, fine food stores, and specialty organic suppliers.

  • Meal Preparation & Presentation:

Prepare and serve meals with a high level of culinary craftsmanship, focusing on formal French and Italian culinary techniques.

  • Wine Pairing Coordination & Mixology:

Curate and recommend wine pairings for guests; the executive abstains from alcohol but guests usually partake. Additionally, the chef will be responsible for mixology duties, crafting both premium cocktails and sophisticated mocktails to elevate guests’ beverage experiences, with expert attention to flavor balance, presentation, and seasonal ingredients.
