Description

The Madison Club, a premier private club recognized for its tradition of excellence, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations of the Club. This is a senior-level role that plays a critical part in supporting the club’s financial integrity and strategic decision-making.
As the Accountant, you will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the Treasurer, Board of Directors, and Assistant General Manager. You will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
We are looking to hire for an early October 2025 start date and encourage qualified candidates to apply promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems, budgeting, payroll, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software (Jonas club software experience preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant financial records; oversee the preparation of tax returns and required government filings.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls and conduct internal audits.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, reports, and cash flow projections.
  • Support the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and club initiatives.
  • Attend Finance Committee and Board meetings and provide regular financial updates.
  • Collaborate with HR to support financial aspects of personnel policies and labor reporting.
