Due to the continued success of our practice, we have an opportunity for a Private Client and Civil Litigation Administrator in our Hayle office (although occasional travel to our St Ives and Penzance offices may be required). This is an interesting role working with a variety of clients and external agencies. An acute eye for detail and a high level of accuracy are essential qualities in this role, as well as being a warm a welcoming contact for our new and existing clients.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Private Client and Civil Litigation Administrator:

  • Receptionist – taking calls and dealing with clients in a respectful, professional and empathetic manner.
  • Opening of files for Fee Earners.
  • Audio Dictation and typing of client documentation.
  • Scanning and printing for fee earners as needed.
  • Scanning in all daily post and putting it on the electronic case management system.
  • Reception duties and dealing with clients face to face and on the phone.
  • Filing as and when required – including Deeds and Wills.
  • Dealing with outgoing post and taking it to the post office.
  • General support duties, including dealing with incoming enquiries
  • Closing and archiving of files
  • Delivery of deeds/paperwork/files to another office if and when required.
  • Any other duties asked for by the firm when necessary.

The successful Private Client and Civil Litigation Administrator will possess:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative, customer-facing role is desirable.
  • A general knowledge of solicitors and the work carried our for our clients.
  • Comfortable with using a range of Office365 applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Producing ad-hoc information for managers/fee-earners.
  • Familiar with concept of Case Management software.
  • Resilient, calm and empathetic under pressure.
  • Excellent keyboard and number processing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be positive, friendly and must understand the importance of confidentiality, be organised and a team player.
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable.
