My client, a well-established and highly respected law firm in Farnborough, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Secretary to join their Wills & Inheritance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to become an integral part of a busy Private Client department that prides itself on providing exceptional client care and legal services in a supportive and professional environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of solicitors, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department and helping to ensure that clients receive the highest level of service. Responsibilities:

As a Legal Secretary in the Wills & Inheritance team, your primary role will be to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the department. Your key duties will include:

  • Client Care & Communication: Acting as a point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive timely responses to their queries. Handling confidential and sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Audio and Copy Typing: Transcribing dictated materials, preparing correspondence, legal documents, and reports in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Diary & Calendar Management: Organising and managing the diaries of the department’s solicitors, scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines.
  • File Management: Maintaining accurate and organised client files, ensuring that all documents are correctly filed and up to date.
  • General Administrative Support: Assisting with billing, managing correspondence, and performing general office duties to support the department’s daily operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Supporting other team members and working collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the department, including covering for colleagues during periods of absence.
  • IT & System Management: Proficiency with modern IT systems for document and case management, and managing electronic records efficiently.
