QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Qualified or part qualified ACCA, ACA or ATT, or qualified by experience
At least 2 years’ experience in accountancy background, with previous experience in private client tax advisory and compliance
Solid understanding of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

A Senior Associate in the Private Client team plays a crucial role in providing support to our clients on personal tax matters.
The role is responsible for preparing annual self-assessment tax returns, calculating tax liabilities, and corresponding with clients to support them with their tax compliance, for example, addressing outstanding information, explaining how tax liabilities have arisen. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating with internal teams is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio and assisting other staff members with personal tax returns including monitoring billing and work in progress, liaising proactively with clients
Assisting in the review of tax returns by more junior members of staff
Involvement in general tax planning issues including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning and day-to-day tax advice
Assisting colleagues with high-level tax planning to develop your knowledge and experience over time.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues in the firm throughout the year
Engage in work shadowing opportunities with tax managers, directors, or partners.
