Responsibilities
  • Draft Wills and handle all aspects of estate administration, including obtaining Grants of Representation.
  • Provide expert advice on the tax implications of estate planning.
  • Draft and manage Trust documentation and submit necessary filings to HMRC.
  • Prepare and process Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Court of Protection applications.
  • Handle a caseload of Wills and Probate matters, ensuring a high standard of client care and compliance with risk management policies.
  • Meet with new and existing clients to take clear and concise instructions, advising on legal options, costs, and firm terms and conditions.
  • Draft correspondence, legal documents, administration accounts, and relevant legal forms for clients and third parties.
  • Ensure cases progress efficiently through regular reviews, prioritising work and keeping clients updated.
  • Manage financial aspects of cases, including costs recording, disbursements, credit control, and debt collection.
  • Work in line with Lexcel and internal quality standards, ensuring best practices are upheld.
