An established and people-focused accountancy practice is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Private Client Tax Senior to strengthen its well-established team. You’ll play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of individuals and/or trust clients, providing compliance support and offering practical tax planning advice.
The position will allow you to be hands-on with personal tax returns, review colleagues’ work and partner with senior managers and partners on advisory projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, working collaboratively and helping drive improvements across a busy and growing department.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Considerable post-qualification experience gained in practice.
  • Strong portfolio management skills and the ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator, both in writing and verbally.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues is highly desirable.
  • Organised, self-motivated and proactive in identifying solutions.
  • A strong client-service ethos with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with initiative and flexibility.
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, including both compliance and advisory work.
  • Prepare and review Self-Assessment tax returns and related computations.
  • Provide clear, proactive tax planning advice tailored to each client.
  • Support colleagues by mentoring junior staff and contributing to their professional development.
  • Assist with recruitment and help to shape a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Identify opportunities for improving departmental processes and embrace technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, spotting opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Represent the firm at networking and marketing events, acting as a professional ambassador.
