Job Description: The Private Cloud AI Sales Specialist is a subject matter expert in positioning HPE AI solutions, identifying and leading engagements with customers. This individual possesses Subject Matter Expert in the areas of AI Platforms & Generative AI and expertise in the AI use cases, outcomes and technology stack (HW, SW) as well as differentiation from Hyperscalers and traditional competitors. This Sales Specialist is brought into customer discussions to lead AI conversations supported by account managers, influencing the client and helping to close complex deals. The role requires a strong focus on new business development, up-selling and cross-selling to existing clients, and securing contract renewals. This will be achieved through solution selling, account planning, and building key relationships with senior stakeholders. This role will collaborate closely with Account Managers and the technical team to ensure customer success, drive retention, and uncover growth opportunities. Your objective will be to deeply understand our customers' evolving needs, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and provide tailored solutions to maximize customer value and expand revenue. Responsibilities Drive revenue growth through AI-powered solutions and scalable business models. Lead the commercial strategy, positioning HPE as the go-to AI solutions provider. Build strategic partnerships with businesses looking to embed AI into their operations. Champion innovation and execution, ensuring AI solutions are delivered rapidly and successfully. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands both the commercial potential of AI and how to execute a growth strategy that wins in the market. Define and execute a go-to-market plan that positions us as a leader in AI-powered business solutions. Drive sales, partnerships, and client acquisition for our AI-driven software solutions. Work with our technical team to ensure our AI innovations deliver real business value. Maintains knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services better. Establishes a professional consultative relationship with the client by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry. Drives proposal development, negotiations and deal closings. Works closely with and supports account manager, providing technical expertise and support, partners with Channel, GSI, and SDPs, and participates in client engagements up to C- level for more complex solutions in smaller accounts. Interfaces with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development. Builds sales readiness and reduce client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in area of specialization. Education And Experience Required Demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota. 3-4 years advanced Gen AI / Artificial Intelligence product sales experience required. Prior Solution / Platform selling experience Demonstrated experience managing an end to end sales life cycle – from Discovery to Delivery Knowledge And Skills Demonstrated (3-5 years) of experience selling Gen AI / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning related products Knowledge and experience within the data science, analytics, or big data markets Proven track record selling Enterprise software for analytics, AI or modeling Deep understanding of the key applications and workflows that leverage Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI. Capable of engaging in both technical and business conversations at multiple levels of the prospective customer’s organization, including with Director/C/VP level people. Thrive in complex orchestration of opportunities across various enterprise personas. Ability to work at both a tactical and strategic level. Demonstrates high service knowledge and professionalism in researching and sharing service- related information with account teams and customers. Understand the channel and work an effective plan to increase sales with our partners.
