Description
Description The Private Cloud Build Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and integration of proprietary and 3rd party products and services into classified data center environments. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience with industry-standard virtualization tools for compute, networking, and storage. The candidate must have a good understanding of public cloud concepts, including what end users expect from a self-service provisioning platform. The candidate must be comfortable deploying, updating and be interactive with VM's outside of the GUI. Experience with hands on integration. This person will not be setting up or using a system that is already built. They will be building the system and be responsible for integrating multiple technologies. As well as experience deploying OS (OS Image Lifecycle), and knowledge on how to troubleshoot and debug issues (Example, where to locate and access log files for basic troubleshooting) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, patch, and configure software and virtualization products on top of HPE hardware. Integrate identity and security across multi-vendor products. Plan for and execute adding new tools to the private cloud environment as needed for adding capabilities. Remediate security vulnerabilities. Requirements Required Skills: Strong background in modern datacenter technologies. Customer-focused engineering mindset. Expert knowledge in hypervisor technology. Strong knowledge of software-defined networking. Strong knowledge of software-defined storage. Working knowledge of container platforms. Experience with at least one public cloud provider preferred. Top Secret clearances required On-site 50% and 50% travel required, all travel-related costs covered outside of the PA/UT site.
