Description
We are now looking for a full-time Private Cloud Engineer / Data Center Engineer to join our RELEX team in the U.S. As a RELEX Infrastructure Engineer you will be building and maintaining RELEX colocation data center infrastructure and services. You will be participating in next generation data center deployment projects to provide a reliable and scalable enterprise computing platform to support our fast-growing company and product areas. We are looking for proactive, open-minded, and self-driven person who will help us enhance private cloud on-site support activities into the next level! What you will be doing: Improve Private Cloud Data Center Infrastructure with focus on infrastructure automation while improving reliability and scalability Drive next-generation Data Center projects by modernizing private cloud architecture and automating server lifecycle workflows. Creating and solving Incident and Management tickets with focus on agile techniques such as scrum processes. Escorting 3rd party support providers for corrective hardware maintenance activities. Handling external events that have impact on RELEX Private Cloud - Maintenance Breaks and hardware relocation on-site. Monitoring system health via online dash boards and tools. Participating Major incident hardware investigation and problem solving. Patching hardware and security vulnerability. Rack and stack hardware components (servers, storages, switches, cables). Hardware Break-fix, Maintenance and decommissioning. Willingness to travel within and outside US as needed (less than 10%) What you will bring to the table: An engineering mindset including understanding of Linux Fundamentals and advanced infrastructure troubleshooting. You have experience in developing and maintaining Private Cloud hardware and solutions. You have experience in installing, maintaining, and cabling hardware in the Data Center. Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, IPAM. Detail oriented You are a self-starter and with a can-do attitude. You are eager to both learn new things and to teach others. You enjoy working as a part of a team and have effective cross-functional team collaboration. What we consider as an advantage: Experience using monitoring tools such as Grafana, Promethius and Data Dog. DCIM tools such as Netbox Administration. Infrastructure CI/CD tools such as GitLab and ansible. Knowledge in Operating Systems, installations & automations. Knowledge in performance testing. Basic scripting knowledge such as bash or python.
Responsibilities
The Private Cloud Engineer will improve the Private Cloud Data Center Infrastructure with a focus on automation, reliability, and scalability. They will also drive next-generation Data Center projects and handle incident management and hardware maintenance.
