Corinthia Hotels has announced a management agreement with the Reuben Brothers to operate the former The Surrey Hotel, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The famed property will undergo an extensive renovation and is slated to open in 2024. The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel is seeking to recruit a Guest Private Dining Server for The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel. The Private Dining position is responsible for providing a warm welcome with friendly, professional in-room service to all our guests. He/She will be responsible for complete in-room delivery, set up and serving duties. Summary of Responsibilities Supports the hotel operation in times of demand. Takes orders and ensures that the guest is satisfied with this, ensuring all is 100% correct. Liaises with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support. Works with housekeeping and guest relations to ensure smooth delivery. Maintains effective communication within the department and ensure that the In Room Dining Manager is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen. Ensures highest standards of customer care at all time, providing a friendly, courteous and professional service at all time. Understands the private in-room dining flow of service in order to anticipate guests’ needs whenever possible. Requirements Worked in similar work environment 5* property Familiary with Forbes 5* standards Food & Beverage previous experience Written and verbal fluency in English. Fluency in another language an advantage. Knowledge of property management systems (e.g. Micros/Fidelio, Opera, toast, etc.). Good wines and spirits knowledge Good food knowledge Food & hygiene course Health & safety knowledge
