As the area’s largest family-owned music retailer, we’re proud to offer high-quality music instruction in a welcoming, organized, and supportive studio environment. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable drum instructor to join our team at our Reading studio. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community that truly values education. Requirements Qualifications: A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment You’ll Succeed in This Role If You Have: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional and timely email communication Confidence and effectiveness in delivering one-on-one instruction Excellent organization and time management Comfortability using a digital scheduling system Warm, energetic, and professional presence that reflects our culture and mission Patience, flexibility, and the ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels Limitations and Disclaimer The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
