Description
Description We're looking for a driven, detail-obsessed hospitality professional to join our team as Event Sales Manager. In this role, you'll be part of the team of Private Events, and the primary point of contact for your own events here at the Club — from the first inquiry through final billing — ensuring every client experience reflects the Club's standards of excellence. Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend and evening availability as needed. ________________________________________ What You'll Do Sales & Business Development You'll own the full sales cycle: responding to inbound leads within 24–48 hours, actively prospecting new and returning business, and building lasting relationships that drive repeat and referral business. You'll conduct venue walkthroughs, craft compelling proposals, and contracts within approved pricing guidelines, and strategically upsell enhancements — from wine pairings and cocktail stations to lighting upgrades and specialty culinary experiences. You’re also someone who is passionate about growing Social Events at the Club. From weddings to Bar / Bat Mitzvahs – you love the “once in a lifetime” celebrations and all the detail and planning that goes into it. No detail is too small and worth forgetting. While a lot of it is venue specific for operations, you can always imagine a ceremony or a dance floor and help sell the vision to prospective event hosts. Event Planning & Execution Once the contract is finalized, you'll bring the event to life. You'll work closely with members to finalize every detail, then translate those details into comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event diagrams, and timelines that set the operational team up for flawless execution. You'll attend twice-weekly BEO meetings with department leaders and serve as the bridge between members and day-of contacts. Financial Management You'll oversee the full billing cycle — managing deposits, updating records in Tripleseat and NorthStar, finalizing post-event invoices, and coordinating with the Finance team to ensure timely payment collection. You'll also monitor and maintain compliance with Member/non-Member business ratios. Membership & Relationship Management You'll be an ambassador for Club membership, proactively promoting it through member interactions and site visits. By developing genuine relationships with members and consistently exceeding their expectations, you'll foster the loyalty that keeps our community thriving. ________________________________________ What We're Looking For The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of event sales or hospitality sales experience in a high-volume environment – bonus points if you’ve had Club or Hotel experience. You're someone who naturally juggles multiple accounts without dropping the ball, who sweats the details because you know they matter, and who brings a warm, professional energy to every member interaction. You should be comfortable with event contracts and BEOs, highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and ideally familiar with Tripleseat. Most importantly, you're a collaborative team player with a solutions-first mindset, impeccable follow-through, and the flexibility to adapt when priorities shift. Requirements Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development • Respond to inbound sales inquiries within 24–48 hours while proactively prospecting new and returning clients within assigned market segments. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to generate repeat and referral business. • Prepare proposals and contracts in accordance with approved pricing guidelines and Club standards. • Identify and promote revenue-enhancing opportunities, including cocktail stations, wine pairings, lighting upgrades, ice sculptures, and menu enhancements. • Conduct site tours and client walkthroughs to showcase event spaces and finalize event details. Membership Support • Proactively promote Club membership through sales calls, site visits, and event-related interactions. • Address member inquiries and concerns promptly, consistently exceeding expectations for service and culinary excellence. • Cultivate strong relationships with Club members to drive repeat and referral business. • Ensure all events uphold the Club’s service, quality, and brand standards. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in hospitality. • 5-7 years of hospitality experience in a high-volume environment, with 3-5 years of experience in event or hospitality sales, private club, hotel, or similar environment. • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals while managing multiple accounts simultaneously. • Strong knowledge of event contracts, BEOs, and event operations. • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Tripleseat experience strongly preferred. • Ability to collaborate effectively with General Managers, Kitchen Managers, banquet staff, and cross-functional teams. • Positive, professional, and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic. • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, email, and phone). • High levels of emotional intelligence to ensure success in member experience and team relationships. • Polished professional appearance and demeanor required. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. • Role requires standing, walking, sitting, and regular use of a computer and telephone.
