JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and highly analytical Investment Analyst to support the private investment operations for one of our prominent family office clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn across a diverse portfolio of private investments and strategic projects and will provide valuable expertise for future growth opportunities within Sapient.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Majors in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent blend of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in private equity, finance, or consulting, preferably with exposure to private markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience building financial models.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRMs. Direct experience with investment tracking tools, such as Addepar or Arch, strongly preferred.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, proactive attitude

Responsibilities
  • Private Investment Reporting and Support:
  • Assist in evaluating, tracking, and executing transactions in impact investing, real estate, hospitality, technology, and other verticals in alignment with the family’s goals and objectives.
  • Work with the Private Investment Manager, Advisory team, Family Office Controller, and related internal stakeholders to ensure that these private investment activities are coordinated with broader portfolio management strategies.
  • Monitor performance of private investments, conduct analysis, and provide findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare regular reporting on investment performance, participation, and other key metrics for senior leadership and family members.
  • Due Diligence: Support rigorous due diligence processes for new potential private investments, including funds and direct deals, to assess viability, risk, and alignment with investment criteria.
  • Deal Execution: Assist with the coordination and documentation of private investment transactions (including residential and commercial real estate), support deal structuring, and source relevant data for financing or closing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
