Description

A warm and welcoming family in Epping, Essex, are looking for an experienced, reliable, and caring nanny to join them on a long-term basis. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to become a valued part of the family’s daily life.
They are seeking someone confident, proactive, and ready to work as a true “team player” alongside mum, creating a happy, stable, and well-organised environment for the children. The ideal candidate will enjoy getting involved, supporting the children’s interests, and building strong, lasting relationships.
About the Role

The family have three children aged 9, 4, and 2 years old. Main duties include:

  • School and nursery pick-ups
  • Helping with homework and after-school activities
  • Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals
  • Supporting evening and bedtime routines
  • Providing consistency and structure in daily life
  • Light household tasks such as tidying the playroom, changing bed sheets, and children’s laundry etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ previous nanny/childcare experience
  • Clean, valid UK driving licence and own car, with willingness to drive the children for school runs, nursery collections, and days out
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS / on the update system - or willing to obtain
  • Must have an up to date Paediatric First Aid Certificate - or willing to obtain training for the role
  • Willingness to travel with the family – may include trips abroad (for example, to America in December); travel will always be discussed in advance and is not always required but is highly desirable
  • Flexibility, as the family may relocate to another area within Essex in the future
  • Willingness to provide occasional babysitting, always arranged in advance
  • Not suitable for BYOC

Hours

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm
  • All day Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • x3 full days - 25 hours a week required in the school holidays
  • Hours are negotiable and can be flexible for the right person
  • One Saturday per month (notice provided in advance; this is desirable, but mum can be flexible if needed)
  • Willingness to babysit occasionally is desirable
  • School Holidays: Additional hours, averaging 25 hours per week

Pay rate
£18 - £20 (can be negotiable for the right candidate)
