Job Description Markets and presents Old Mutual service & investment product value propositions within the Private Sector. Together with other Business Managers within a team, this role will service the Gauteng, Kwa Zulu Natal, Northern, Central and Cape regions of PFA. The Business Development Manager contributes to increased market share, sales and new client growth for the Old Mutual Personal Finance business, by acquiring and activating new Private Sector accounts. Key Performance areas: Local Market Acquisition Strategy Development Liaise with Sales, Customer Solutions and the Corporate Super Fund teams to identify potential and viable markets, in the private sector. Help enable the distribution channel to optimize on sales and new client acquisition opportunities within their existing private sector markets. Identify and acquire new, viable private sector strategic partners. Account Acquisition Acquire formal access and service level agreements for Personal Finance Advisors within new and existing Private Sector accounts. Collaborate and partner with internal business units to allocate the newly acquired account to the retail channels. Manage and nurture the Service Level Agreements entered with the client by ensuring that PFA advisors are allocated formally to each account. Ensure that the number of new market acquisitions remains adequate to cater to the demand required by the retail channel. Influence and drive growth of provincial market share. Collaborate and network with the internal business units to cross-connect and optimize new market acquisitions. Work closely with Old Mutual Corporate Consultants to help retailize Old Mutual’s suite of holistic value propositions and ensure that all Super Fund members, have access to Old Mutual’s holistic financial planning value proposition, through advice from specialised and accredited Personal Finance Advisors. Stakeholder Management Act as the key interface between new accounts and all relevant internal stakeholders. Account Management and Sales Support Responsible for the overall compliance with regional and national memorandum of understanding (MOU) by all internal stakeholders. Liaise with sales and marketing teams to identify potential markets, in the Private sector. Present Old Mutual’s CVP to potential markets Drive Financial Wellbeing Program (FWP) sessions to create selling opportunities for advisers. Ensures effective management of finances within allocated budget. (Appropriate budget to be allocated annually for activities` execution). Review client requirements on an ongoing basis for all existing regional and national clients. Drive market activations at new and existing private sector accounts, to help ensure ongoing reach to new clients and increased sales growth. Report on progress made against set targets to all relevant internal stakeholders- Market Research – Identify top 20% most viable markets Create a market development plan New Market Acquisition New and Existing Market Activations Monitor and report on Market Viability Manage lead distribution and conversion Manage service level agreements with sales Skills and competencies Customer First Execution – Action driven Innovation`- Creative, solution orientated Leading with Influence Learning Relating Excellent presentation and communication skills Strategic Min role requirements Grade 12 (Matric) A relevant qualification in Business Economics FAIS compliant.
