SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our dynamic team at Tutor Teach, located in St Albert, Alberta. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing student learning experiences and helping them achieve their academic goals through personalized support and guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Accredited or in-pursuit of a post-secondary degree (BEd, BA, BSc, BKin, Bcomm, etc)
• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong background in tutoring or teaching, particularly in language subjects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying ages.
• Familiarity with special education practices is an asset.
• Proficiency in math or related subjects is preferred but not mandatory.
• Computer skills for online tutoring sessions are beneficial.

• Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects, primarily focusing on French.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and strategies for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and feedback.
• Stay updated with educational best practices and incorporate them into tutoring sessions.
