Advise families on care needs in accordance with legal requirements. Instruct patients on the use of adaptive technology and equipment. Conduct home visits to demonstrate functional skills, mobility, and home safety. Coordinate activities to improve physical, mental, and social functioning. What You'll Need: Registered and licensed in the state of Florida to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. (required) Minimum of an associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant school or equivalent.
