HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE The Charge Nurse is responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care. This role includes clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs. Demonstrates leadership capabilities and a commitment to nursing excellence. Experience in clinical teaching and quality improvement is strongly preferred. * Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs * Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions * Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient * Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record * Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient * Performs timely and accurate QI assessments * Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. * Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. * Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. * Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: * Minimum of two years in a rehabilitative or acute care setting, with demonstrated leadership ability. * ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. * Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; Child and Adult Abuse Certification required; CRRN preferred.
