Key Responsibilities Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by adhering to established protocols and standards. Capture high-quality, diagnostic dental x-rays. Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient health histories. Maintain strict infection control by sterilizing instruments and following infection prevention protocols. Help patients feel at ease before, during, and after procedures. Provide patients with thorough post-operative care instructions. Document procedure notes and record vital signs during surgeries and consultations. Perform office management tasks utilizing practice management software. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements 1+ years of surgical or dental assisting experience preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers and practice management software. Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and commitment to patient care. Professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Motivation to grow, learn, and contribute to a high-performing team.
