Summit Home Care & Hospice is excited to expand our services with a new caregiving division—and we’re looking for compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) to grow with us! As a Home Health Aide, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients with daily living activities and personal care needs. You’ll work under the supervision of a Care Coordinator Supervisor and be a trusted presence in the lives of those you serve. Home Health Aide (HHA): Job Type: PRN/As Needed Location: Richland County & Surrounding Counties (Ashland, Knox, Morrow & Crawford) Pay Rate: $16.00 per Hour Travel: Required for In-Home Visits Responsibilities: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Helping with oral hygiene and hair care. Supporting mobility and exercise routines. Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed. Light housekeeping, including changing bed linens, laundry, and tidying living spaces. Providing medication reminders. Monitoring and recording vital signs (with proper training). Observing and reporting changes in patient condition. Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Following care plans and documentation procedures. Being a kind, respectful, and reliable presence in the home. Qualifications Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Meet training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws for home health aides. Must have current CPR and First-Aid certifications. Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation. Skills & Abilities: Able to read, follow care plans, and document services provided. Self-directed, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision. Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward individuals with varying needs. Maintains good hygiene and a professional appearance. Physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and assist with patient mobility. Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform care tasks.
