Description POSITION SUMMARY: Provides a wide range of courier services for LIFE Senior Services which includes but not limited to; meal deliveries to ADH centers, interoffice mail delivery, interoffice supplies deliveries, and Senior Center money delivery. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following represents most of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary: Drive vehicle in a safe and responsible manner utilizing defensive driving skills and in adherence to LIFE program policies and procedures, following assigned routes. Deliver breakfast and lunch to all 3 ADH locations. Responsible for all interoffice deliveries of mail and supplies. Pickup of all monies from LSS Senior Centers and deliver to Legacy Tower for deposit. Maintain safety and cleanliness of assigned vehicle and coordinate scheduling of van maintenance with transportation manager. Perform daily vehicle inspection to ensure operation of a safe vehicle. Follow all LIFE program policies and procedures and OSHA safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain courteous, helpful, and professional behavior on the job and display a willingness and ability to be responsive in a warm and caring manner. Participate in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings; and maintain professional affiliations and any required certifications. Perform other duties as required or requested in a positive and helpful manner to ensure a smooth-running work area. Requirements CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Holds and maintains a current Driver’s license. Upon hire, will obtain and maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Delivery driving experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Function independently, have flexibility, and personal integrity. Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution; and ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, Frequent bending, reaching forward and overhead, squatting and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 100lbs. Ability to communicate verbally, with an excellent comprehension of the English language. Has to drive company owned vehicle.
