Description University Center for Pain Management is seeking a PRN (as needed) Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing practice at UT Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of clinical experience, proficiency with EMR systems, and a strong understanding of clinical operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting patient histories. Manage and complete pre-authorization requests and tasks as needed. Work alongside a provider 4 days a week, aiding with patient care and ensuring accurate documentation. Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock. Order and restock supplies as necessary to maintain smooth clinic operations. Utilize the EMR system to accurately input patient information and track medical records. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is required.
