Under general supervision, assist the pharmacist to fill physician’s orders, select, assemble, and place medications for inpatient (acute care; hospital) and/or outpatient (ambulatory; retail; home infusion) services. A Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be an entry level technician position, and as such, training and orientation will continue for up to 12 months. After completion of the temporary training period, the Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be evaluated for advancement to a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Certified Pharmacy Technician. Trainee will be enrolled in an approved training program and advanced when certification and proper knowledge has been achieved.
