Description Job Summary: To provide high-quality patient-focused health care services to all patients within the scope of practice through physician orders in accordance with all Texas State Laws and Regulations and company policies. Currently licensed as ARRT in the State of Texas with CT experience preferred. *Will train in CT if needed. Follows prescribed techniques for producing general and specific x-rays and CT scans for diagnostic purposes. Requirements Job Qualifications: Education: Associate degree and graduate of an accredited program of Radiological Technology. Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Personal Job-Related Skills: Knowledge of radiologic equipment, effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with patients of all ages. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent patient care and customer service. Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered, or registry eligible with AART, or ARCRT required, advanced qualifications in mammography preferred. Must have current Texas License, current MRT required, BLS required, PALS preferred. Experience: · Prior Work Experience: Three years in a hospital setting as a registered Technologist preferred. · Technical Training: Training in CT Scanning, Mammography and Ultrasound preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require intermittent periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Bending, stooping, and reaching is required while handling instruments, equipment and patients. The lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of patients with the use of equipment is required. Moving patients more than 150 pounds, with assistance, may be required. Some circumstances may require assistance while moving patients who are unable to help themselves.
