The nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients across the lifespan. The nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES? · Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments · Develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams · Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely · Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status · Document all patients care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR) · Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions · Maintain infection control and patient safety standards · Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary rounds · Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff as appropriate · Adhere to hospital or facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations · Participate in continuing education and performance improvement activities WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? · Current and valid license in the state of SD (MN also preferred) · BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS, PALS, or other specialty certifications as needed · Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills · Proficiency with EHR systems and common clinical equipment WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM TURNWELL? · May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods · Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases · Fast-paced environment with emotionally challenging situations · Shift work, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on the setting
