Description PRN No Weekends or Holidays! Updegraff Laser Vision, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is a growing, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. Our focus is on excellence in patient care and creating an exceptional customer/patient experience. Seeking a PRN Surgical Technician who will be responsible for assisting the surgeon and nurse in rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the center in accordance with established procedures. Job Responsibilities: Assists in preparing the operating room for the planned procedure. Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies. Sets up sterile operating field with instruments and supplies necessary for that procedure; arranges instruments, sutures, drapes, and supplies per AORN standards. Observes strict aseptic technique throughout the entire procedure and report break-in technique to the circulating nurse and the surgeon. Passes instruments, supplies, and sutures to the surgeon and assistants as needed and in such a manner so that their attention is not diverted from the operative field. Sees that all instruments, needles, sponges, and other supplies are removed from the operative field. Requirements At least two years of related work experience in the operating room is required. Certification is a plus!
Responsibilities
